The name ‘Il Bosco’ (“The Wood”) comes from the numerous holm oaks and laurel trees, one of the area’s few natural woods. In addition, you’ll also be surrounded by 12,000 sq.m of exclusive, unspoilt vegetation and Mediterranean scrub planted with myrtle and rosemary, mastic and carob trees, and mimosa.
Your residence will be an old ‘Liàma (1860), a typical rural building made of stone and tufa with barrel-vaulted ceilings, meticulously restored and fitted out with every modern comfort. An ideal location for up to 4 people.
You can relax on the sun loungers at the three solarium after a refreshing shower, or read a good book while lazing in one of the hammocks in the wood. Perhaps you’d like to immerse yourself in an old bath dug out in a natural grotto, whose water is filtered, illuminated and heated to 24°C in summer and 28°C in winter, or stroll through the privacy of the peaceful wood amidst paths and terraces. As the sun sets, you can enjoy an aperitivo on the rooftop terrace, or while seated at one the property’s large, stone tables, followed by a barbecue dinner under the stars.
For the Winter Season we have also installed a brand new original Cedar Barrel Finnish Sauna to be used with the heated grotto, for your comfort and regeneration. The property is surrounded by original dry stone walls, inscribed in Unesco’s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list in 2018. There is a private car park.
These are just some of the delightful experiences that you can enjoy while staying at ‘Il Bosco’, as the property’s strategic location offers easy access to all the treasures of Salento, and the sea is located only a few hundred metres away.

Booking confirmation: a 30% pre-payment is required for property mantainace, while balance is due one week prior to arrival.
In case of cancellation there will be no refund. For early cancellation (30 days), Guests may choose a different date, based on availability and rates.
Check-in: after 01:00 pm (arrival time will be agreed according to Guest’s needs)
Check-out: before 9:30 am (to allow Housekeeping & Maintenence)
GARBAGE: kindly separate waste (in 2 main categories: GLASS/PLASTIC and PAPER/GENERIC) and deposit it in the bins at the entrance court.
RUNNING WATER: It is drinkable and can be used both for personal and oral hygene and cooking.
BARBECUE: Please enjoy it. Firewood is stored in the woodshed and the use is free. Be careful with high flames and embers, as the dry and windy summer weather can provoke the spread of fires. After use, please estinguish with water.
POOL: Please follow these instructions:
– do not dive (max dept 1.20 m)
– no unattended children under 12y
– no glasses or bootles in the pool area

We have traveled worldwide for 40+ years, in well chosen rentals, and THIS retreat was our favorite. Olive, laurel and eucalyptus trees, magnificent meadows of wildflowers, sensitively planned rose, with rosemary plants the size of cars. Spectacular wanderings on tiered levels, with total privacy. On one tier, near an entire barbeque patio, is a fresh water grotto, perfect for just floating, lost in the absolute pleasure of that. We would say that the feeling tone of staying here is best described that way: “A Time of Floating”. We are sorry we did not spend our entire vacation here. Thank you beyond words.

Très belle maison authentique décorée avec beaucoup de goûts. La climatisation fonctionne à merveille. Les équipements de la maison et du jardin rendent le sejour inoubliable. Le jardin est immense, très bien illuminé la nuit, mettant en valeur les nombreuses terrasses et oliviers centenaires. La maison est idéalement située à 3 minutes en voiture du supermarché et de la marina San Gregorio à l'eau translucide. Nous avons hâte d'y revenir!
Wir waren zum zweiten Mal in diesem kleinen Paradies. Man kann sich kaum einen schöneren und entspannteren Ort vorstellen. Alles ist bis ins Detail liebevoll gestaltet, an alles ist gedacht - selbst an ein kleines Starterpaket im Kühlschrank. Die Weitläufigkeit des Grundstückes ist beeindruckend, die Ruhe unbeschreiblich und der Sonnenuntergang auf dem Hausdach sensationell. Die Lage perfekt, wenn man Ruhe und Erholung sucht und trotzdem nicht zu weit weg von Strand, Meer, Einkaufs- und Ausgehmöglichkeiten sein möchte. Ein tolles Fleckchen Erde. Wir kommen wieder.
Perfect holliday!!! We spent 10 days in this wonderful house. The house and garden has everything you need for a perfect relaxed holliday - we really felt like beeing at home. Our two kids with age of 7 and 4 loved the huge garden and nature around there. The hosts Daniela and Oswaldo were very kind and the whole contact was very friendly and easy! We'd love to come back!
Traditionelles Steinhaus mit wunderbar angelegtem Außenbereich. Wir waren Ende Mai mit zwei Kindern (8,11) hier. Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtetes traditionelles Steinhaus mit toll angelegtem Aussenbereich im riesigen Garten. Schattige Terasse, separater Grillplatz etc. Nah zu den schönen Stränden von Torre Vado, Torre Pali. In der Nähe auch Leuca mit Restaurants, Leuchtturm, Bootsverleih. Auto unbedingt erforderlich. Sehr netter Kontakt mit dem Besitzer Osvaldo
An insider tip. First we did not want to evaluate our stay because, due to our enthusiasm, the house will never be available again! We then nevertheless decided to give a rating. Already at the arrival (we were picked up by Michele) we were thrilled and speechless. During our two week stay this has not changed. everything was perfect. We will come back - if the house is then still available.
A perfect holiday! We spent a fantastic week with our two little daughters in this amazing, truly beautiful house. We enjoyed the huge garden with its olive trees, watched the sunset on the rooftop and enjoyed the warm summernights with a lovely dinner on the beautifully decorated perch. The interiors of the house are perfectly chosen and it matches the styles of the house and its surroundings. We we're lucky to have met Osvaldo the owner. He was always very helpful and friendly and brought us delicious olive oil from the trees in the garden. We would definitely recommend this property to everyone and we will probably book it for another time in the near future.
Lovely friendly people. Lots of space, plenty of shady areas, great views. Leuca is lovely, go on a boat trip to the caves and swim into the gold and azure cave.Galipoli a must for a good wander. Lots of great beaches and places to eat out. Not enough days to sample all of the ice cream. Fantastic. Osvaldo is very helpfull with lots of information on hand if you need it.
Un paradiso. Une magnifique maison avec tout ce qu'il faut pour se sentir bien, bien équipée, joliment décorée, fraîche avec l'espace nécessaire pour être à 4 en famille. On peut vivre beaucoup dehors, dans ce beau domaine, manger en terrasse, se rafraichir avec un bain dans la grotte. Le propriétaire, très sympathique, nous a réservé un bon accueil. La maison est à 5 minutes de la mer en voiture, juste en hauteur, proche de Marina di Leuca, avec la possibilité de se déplacer du côté mer Ionienne ou Adriatique. Rien à redire! On y est resté 1 semaine et aurait volontiers prolongé.

Paradise in an olive grove! The house is beautifully furnished and very clean. The pool in a cave is very unusual and was far more refreshing than an outdoor pool. The perfect place to unwind, would definitely come back.
